Internet Brazil: Find Out Who Can Receive Aid
In a strategic pact between the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Education, assistance from the Internet Brazil program.
This is a government measure to ensure access for students from public institutions to the virtual universe.
Digital Access
This project aims to boost the virtual inclusion of students.
In this way, facilitating access to various digital resources.
This initiative is endorsed by National Education and Research Network (RNP).
Access to the network will be simplified through the distribution of chips and data packages.
This initiative benefits students in the state education network whose families are registered in the Federal Government's Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico).
Implementation Phases
The implementation of this plan will occur progressively.
Initially, priority will be given to students in primary and secondary education in public institutions.
Which are already linked to the Connected Northeast Project.
In the municipalities of Caicó/RN, Campina Grande/PB, Caruaru/PE, Juazeiro/BA, Mossoró/RN and Petrolina/PE.
And in municipal schools in locations in the State of Minas Gerais.
In the cities Araguari, Conceição das Alagoas, Nova Serrana, Prata, Uberaba and Uberlândia.
Project Details
THE Internet Brazil Its main objective is to guarantee free access to the mobile network for public school students.
This support enables educational institutions to offer flexible education with greater information input.
Facilitating access to knowledge in a democratic way.
In addition to simplifying the implementation of new pedagogical approaches.
Participation Process
The Department of Education in collaboration with the school must adopt the program.
Following all the necessary steps for students to obtain the benefits.
Adoption must be done through Integrated system of Monitoring, Execution and Control of the Ministry of Education (SIMEC).
You criteria for selecting institutions in the program must be established by the Education Departments.
To participate, schools must:
- Confirm your participation via Direct Money at School Program (PDDE);
- Define distribution criteria among eligible students;
- Indicate beneficiaries who meet the program criteria;
- Manage all changes that affect students’ right to the benefit.
Likewise, students must meet certain requirements:
- Be enrolled in basic education from the third year or secondary education;
- Not have a SIM card from other public policies;
- Demonstrate interest in joining the plan;
- Sign membership agreement;
- Be registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico);
- Own a mobile device.

Each program participant you will receive a SIM card, facilitating access to the network and changing operators remotely.
Therefore, there is no need to replace the chip.
