Who can participate in Detran auctions?

Any person, natural or legal, over 18 years old of age, they can participate in a Detran Auction, as long as they meet some of the requirements set out in the notice.

The exceptions that are presented in the notice, of people who cannot participate in the auction, are: individuals who are public servants assigned to the Detran itself, the Civil Police and the Military Police of each state; outsourced and contracted by Detran SP, the Civil and Military Police of each state.

How does the Detran Auction work?

The Detran auction is like any other traditional auction, and whoever bids highest takes the vehicle.

The vehicles at the Detran Auction are used and come from seizures due to irregularities, so their conditions may vary.

It is possible to purchase a car or motorcycle at auction to sell or for your own use. After purchasing at auction it is now possible to sell it, but keep in mind that all vehicles are sold below the Fipe table.

Detran, at the time of the auction, provides a list of cars and motorcycles for sale, the lots and their details, such as documentation and mechanical conditions of the vehicles.

How is payment made for the Detran Auction?

All vehicles, cars or motorcycles, offered at the Detran Auction, have cash payment, this being the only form of payment.

In the case of an in-person auction, the participant must leave a check for the total value of the auctioned item with the auction commission.

And in the online modality, at the time of registration, the participant signs a contract and is subject to the penalties established in Law No. 8666/92.

Then, after the auction, the Commission will issue a bank slip with the total sale value, which will be delivered to the bidder, who has a period of 5 (five) days useful for making payment.

The bidder obtains a provisional receipt valid until the date of issuance of the Sales Note.
